Burnham-On-Sea's Folkfest 2007 will expand into three day event

Burnham-On-Sea's successful Folkfest is set to return in 2007 as a three-day event.

The inaugural event was held over two days earlier this month and attracted such large numbers of musicians and fans that organisers have decided to expand it next year by adding a third day.

"Planning has already started for the 2007 Folkfest, with the weekend booked from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September," a spokesman for the event told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Wednesday. "It was so successful this year and we had such positive feedback that next year we aim to extend the event further."

More than 90 hours of free music and dance was held in nine venues across Burnham throughout the first weekend of September.
