Vandals
smash windows of newsagent's shop in Burnham-On-Sea
Vandals
caused £1,000 of damage when they smashed the windows of
a Burnham-On-Sea High Street shop over the weekend.
A
pane of glass at the front of GW Hurley newsagents was broken
in an overnight attack during the early hours of Sunday. The vandals
also smashed the glass door to the premises.
Owner
Colin Morris told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Monday that CCTV footage
of the street overnight was being studied and police were also
investigating.
"It
seems to have been pointless vandalism," he said. "The
total bill to repair the mess will probably be around £800
to £1,000."
In
June, vandals smashed the windows of Thomas's,
a key cutting and shoe repair shop, at the southern end of the
High Street.
