Worthy
causes benefit from annual Burnham-On-Sea hospital fete

Fairground
games and stalls were among the many attractions that attracted
large crowds to Burnham-On-Sea's annual hospital fete on Bank
Holiday Monday (August 28th).
Hundreds
of holidaymakers and residents crowded into the town's Manor Gardens
in glorious sunshine to support a range of local charities and
groups.
Stalls,
displays, games, raffles and refreshments were on offer from a
wide range of local organisations.
The
groups included Burnham Venture Scouts, the Rotary Club, the WI,
the BAY Centre, Coastguards, Burnham Diabetes Group and the Burnham
Lodge of Moose International. RNLI fundraisers also ran their
own stall, selling a range of merchandise and souvenirs.
The
annual fete is organised by the town's League Of Friends and raises
many hundreds of pounds each year. A spokesman thanked all those
who had attended for their valuable support.
