Somerset’s air ambulance was in the spotlight during a talk delivered by Sir Bernie Knight at the latest meeting of Burnham-On-Sea’s Moose International Lodge.

Bernie’s good humour and professional style of presentation made the talk both an entertaining and educational one, as he charted the history of the Dorset and Somerset Air ambulance.

He emphasised that the service is supported completely by voluntary donations and has saved many lives over the years.

Sir Bernard was presented with a cheque from Moose member Yvonne Cornelius for the delivery of his talk.

Seperately, a cheque for £100 was also presented by the Moose Ladies group to East Hunspill Pre-school towards the cost of purchasing a shed for storage of play equipment.

At their next meeting on October 26th, members will be carrying out their National Dolls House Raffle ticket Draw.
