Revellers in Burnham-On-Sea will be able to celebrate the start of 2007 in style as a wide range of events is held in the town on New Year’s Eve.

Popular local group The Ginger Hitlas (pictured) will be playing at The Ritz Club from 8pm. Tickets, costing £7.50, are available from GC Music, Burnham Glass and The Ritz. The band was one of the attractions at last summer’s Under A Summer Moon concert in Burnham.

Over at The Old Pier Tavern, Snappa will be playing a great line-up of popular music – from The Beatles to Oasis and Hendrix to Green Day – from 8pm onwards. Entry is free.

At The Tavern in Brean Leisure Park, revellers will be able to say farewell to 2006 while enjoying live music and dancing from Union Gap. A four-course dinner, to include a drink upon arrival, costs £40 per person. The event starts at 7.30pm and finishes at 2.00am. More details on 01278 751595.

At Rookery Manor, a grand gala buffet and evening of entertainment is to be held, including a band and disco, with Champagne on arrival. The event starts at 7pm and finishes at 2am. Tickets costing £42.50 are available on 01934 750200.
