Burnham-On-Sea police issued an appeal for information on Monday after an armed robbery at a petrol station in the town.

The incident happened at about 9.10pm on Thursday, March 30th at the Total service station in Burnham Road.

A man entered the premises and threatened staff with a silver handled Stanley knife. He made off with a quantity of cash.

A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “He is described as white, aged 20-25, about 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build with pointy features.”

“He had a ginger or fair goatee style beard and was wearing a beige hooded top and light blue jeans.”
