One person is in hospital after a four car collision in Berrow over the weekend.

Paramedics, police and fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea rushed to the entrance to Unity Farm Holiday Park after the accident.

One person was taken to Weston General Hospital with suspected back injuries after being removed from one of the vehicles on a spinal board.

A Fire Brigade spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We assisted by removing the rear seats of one of the vehicles to help paramedics get one of the casualties out of the car, who was then taken to hospital.”

Two Fiats, a Renault Clio and a Peugeot 307 were involved in the collision. The Burnham fire crew was joined by a special rescue unit from Weston and an officer from Avon.

Police said on Monday that first reports of the accident on Coast Road came in to emergency services shortly before 7pm on Friday night.
