Appeal
after fail-to-stop road traffic accident at Rooksbridge
Police
have appealed for witnesses after a fail to stop road traffic
collision on the A38 at Rooksbridge, near Burnham-On-Sea, which
injured both the driver and passenger.
Shortly
after 2pm on Good Friday (April 14th), a Ford Fiesta car was being
driven by a woman with her elderly mother in the passenger seat
when the Fiesta was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle.
The
collision caused the Fiesta to leave the road and then collide
with a tree, but the other vehicle left the scene without stopping.
Both
the driver and her mother were later treated for whiplash injuries
at Weston General Hospital and the Fiesta suffered severe rear-end
damage.
Police
would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision
or may have been traveling on the A38 at the time. You can call
Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
