Boy in hospital after being knocked off bicycle in Brean

A young boy riding a bicycle was rushed to hospital after a car collided with him at Brean on Saturday night (July 22nd).

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene at 6.20pm after it was reported that a car had collided with the lad – believed to be aged 10.

The accident occurred near the Beachcomber Inn along Warren Road, but the road remained open during the incident.

Police spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The boy was taken to Weston General with an arm injury, which we believe was fortunately quite minor.”
