Burnham-On-Sea
police appeal for witnesses after serious accident
Police
are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash near Burnham-On-Sea
that left five people needing hospital treatment.
The
accident at West Huntspill occurred last Thursday (August 17th)
at 8.35pm on the main A38 road.
Force
spokeswoman Jenny Bigwood told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "A blue
Peugeot 306 collided with a house wall."
"The
driver - a 20 year-old female - was taken to Weston General Hospital
with injuries that were serious, but not life-threatening."
"Three
passengers were taken to Musgrove Hospital in Taunton with minor
injuries, and an 85-year-old woman householder was also taken
to Musgrove for treatment to head injuries after being struck
by a brick."
"The
Peugeot was believed to be travelling to Highbridge, and a second
vehicle may have also been involved."
"Police
are keen to speak to anyone who saw the accident."
