Burnham-On-Sea
police appeal for witnesses after burglary
Burnham-On-Sea
Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary on the outskirts
of the town on Monday night, February 27th.
It
happened at 9pm when two men came to the front door of a bungalow
in East Brent.
They
knocked on the door several times with force until the glass smashed.
As
the victim was trying to prevent the offenders getting in, it
is believed a bedroom window was forced open and an untidy search
was made, but nothing was stolen.
The
offenders are both believed to be in their 20s and were wearing
baseball caps.
The
elderly resident was not injured, but was left extremely shaken
by the incident.
Police
are appealing for anyone who has any information about the incident
to call police in Burnham on 0845 4567000.
