Proposal to overhaul Burnham-On-Sea skate park set to be unveiled

-

An £11,000 scheme to overhaul Burnham-On-Sea’s skateboarding facilities is set to be unveiled later this week.

Surrey firm Fearless Ramps will show how it proposes to introduce new facilities like those pictured at Apex Leisure Park during a special meeting at Jaycroft Road this Friday, October 20th.

Town councillor Louise Parkin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Three companies, including Fearless, visited the skate park a couple of months back to look at what we need and propose a way forward.”

“We thought Fearless proposed the best ideas and therefore they have been to this week’s meeting.

“The meeting will enable skaters in the area to have a final look over the scheme before it gets the go-ahead. I want to give everyone ‘ownership’ and to have a say in the scheme.”

Andy Peerless from the skate company will present his ideas for the park in a meeting starting at 7pm.

Both Sedgemoor District Council and the town council have earmarked funds for the scheme.
