Brean
Down being transformed into huge Hollywood movie set

Brean
Down is being transformed into a Hollywood movie set ahead of
the filming of a big-budget blockbuster at the site on Monday,
June 5th.
The
cast and crew of The Golden Age, starring Cate
Blanchett,
are
putting mock cannons and a huge film set in place on the top of
the Down in readiness for the beginning of filming in the early
part of the week.
The
new movie will be a follow-up to the smash hit Elizabeth
and, as we exclusively reported earlier, readers of Burnham-On-Sea.com
have a chance to star in the film - click
here for details.
Our
photos
show the huge operation going on to build the movie set on the
top of Brean Down.
Huge
tents and props were being craned into position on Saturday morning
by the production team and a gang of contractors.
The
unusual scenes were watched by crowds of onlookers.
Two
large tents have also been erected near to the Brean Down Bird
Garden, as pictured below, to house many of the production staff
over the next few days.
