Burnham's
Tourist Information Centre praised in Mystery Shopper report
The
high quality of customer service at Burnham-On-Sea's Tourist Information
Centre has been praised in a new report out this week.
The
centre has finished in the top three places in an annual 'Mystery
Shopper' test operated by the regional tourist board.
The
Mystery Shopper tests how the tourist information service is operated
using five different assessment criteria; including enquiries
via email, phone, letter, an after-hours service and a personal
visit.
The customer services inspector awards marks for various elements,
including the range of items on sale, the relevance and quality
of displays, staff's knowledge and general customer service skills.
The visit can take place at any time over the season and staff
are unaware of when, who or what the enquiries will be.
Cindy
Tee, Visitor Services Manager for Sedgemoor District Council,
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Our centre staff work hard to maintain
a high standard of customer service and the results reflect their
hard work and professionalism."
"As
a service operated by Sedgemoor District Council, we are pleased
to be able to contribute to the council's ongoing commitment to
developing and improving the customer services it provides."
