Not again! Vehicles get that sinking feeling on Burnham Beach!

Burnham-On-Sea's
infamous mud caught out two further victims on Sunday afternoon
(July 2nd) when a tractor and boat trailer both became stuck in
the ooze near the bottom of the town's slipway.
A
fishing boat got into difficulty when its owners tried to haul
the trailer up the beach.
And
then, the wheels of a tractor also ground to a halt when it came
to help the stranded boat.
"It
was left to a Range Rover driver to pull the tractor out of the
mud," said one eyewitness watching from the jetty. "The
boat was eventually dug out with spades and freed using planks
of wood."
It
is the latest in a long series of mud incidents involving trapped
vehicles. A boat became stuck in April
and a car was pulled from the sea last
November after getting stuck. Most notably, a Range
Rover was lost in the mud near Brean Down in April. Photos
