Council
announces start of Burnham wind farm consultation period

Sedgemoor
District Council confirmed on Tuesday (May 2nd) that the planning
application for a controversial wind farm between Burnham-On-Sea
and Brent Knoll had been officially registered and a period of
consultation was now underway.
The
plans and documentation, as submitted by Ecotricity, can be viewed
on the council's web
site or by visiting Bridgwater House at King Square in Bridgwater.
Consultees
will be consulted on the application and appropriate publicity
will be carried out. This will include site notices that will
be put up around the site, announcing the application.
Sedgemoor
District Council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"There will be a period of three weeks in which organisations
and the public can register their comments. These comments will
be assessed on valid planning grounds."
She
added: "The application is likely to go before the Development
Control committee in either July or August."
