Two-car
collision shuts A38 near Burnham-On-Sea
These
were the scenes on the A38 near Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday afternoon
(August 26th) after a two-car collision closed the busy route.
Burnham
police had to shut the road after the accident occurred at West
Huntspill near the junction with New Road.
"A
Cavalier and Volvo collided at the junction at 2.55pm," police
spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He
added: "The road was partially closed but none of those in
the vehicles received life-threatening injuries."
Long
queues of holiday traffic built up in the area and police put
in place diversions to move traffic around the scene until the
A38 was fully re-opened later in the afternoon.
