Three-vehicle accident holds up traffic on A38 near Burnham-On-Sea
Police,
fire crews and paramedics rushed to a three-vehicle accident on
the outskirts of Burnham-On-Sea on Wednesday (January 24th).
The
accident occurred during the busy evening rush hour at 5.15pm
on the A38 near East Brent.
There
were initially concerns that the occupants of the vehicles could
be trapped - although this proved unfounded.
"Fortunately,
no persons were trapped but fire fighters did release a dog from
one of the vehicles," said a fire brigade spokesman.
Fire
crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Weston attended the incident, which
led to long delays for commuters.
