Organiser Tom AshtonA huge £2,900 was raised to help Burnham-On-Sea's ambulance station upgrade some of its specialist life-saving equipment during a special event held in the town on Saturday night (Jan 27th).

Hundreds of supporters flocked to Lakeside in Westfield Road for the huge fundraiser, which included a race night, charity auction and Irish bingo.

The event was co-ordinated by Tom Ashton, pictured, with organisers Burnham Lions Club and the Burnham Community Medical Equipment Fund.

"It was a very successful night - everyone had a great time - and we are delighted to have raised such a large sum to upgrade vital equipment for the ambulance service," Tom told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
