Two arrested in Burnham police crackdown on anti-social behaviour

Two people have been arrested in Burnham-On-Sea during a crackdown on anti-social behaviour and underage drinking in the town.

Police increased their patrols in the town at the weekend in an operation as part of their ongoing Operation Relentless campaign.

Sgt Kennett, who is pictured here with PC Pete Wills, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We carried out 13 inspections at licensed premises in Burnham and Brean, and made 12 alcohol seizures from young persons."

He added that there several arrests were made following an incident in the town on Friday evening.

"Two people were arrested for fighting in the High Street. They were both later released on police bail for further enquiries," he said.

Further action against anti-social behaviour is planned for the next few weeks.
