Police release e-fit of suspect in Burnham-On-Sea antiques shop robbery

-

Police have issued an image of the man they would like to speak to in connection with a robbery at an antiques shop in Burnham-On-Sea.

The incident took place during the afternoon of Thursday March 1 at Castle Antiques in Victoria Court.

Two men walked into the antiques shop at about 2.30pm to view an item of jewellery.

They left and then turned about 15 minutes later and took gold chains and bracelets valued at around £6000, despite the owner attempting to stop them.

Police have described the offenders as two white men, aged between 25-35 years. They were both wearing dark clothing.

A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “One culprit is described as being 5ft 8ins tall of stocky build with a slight beard with an irritation of his left eye. The second man, who was slightly taller, was of slimmer build.”

Police have released this image of the smaller man and would like to hear from anyone who was in the Victoria Street area at the time of the robbery who may have seen the two men.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Burnham-on-Sea CID on 0845 4567000.
