Burnham-On-Sea
woman attacked near town's Apex Park lake

Burnham-On-Sea
police have issued an appeal for information after a 37-year-old
woman was the victim of a robbery in the town last Thursday (November
22nd).
The
woman was walking along an alleyway between Southern Avenue and
another footpath that runs alongside the Apex Park lakes when
the incident happened at around 6.45pm.
The
officer in charge of the case, DC Mark Schofield, said: "She
was approached by two men one of whom asked to use her
mobile phone. She said she did not have one so they pushed her
against the wall of a house and went through her coat pocket."
"They
took two cigarettes and some tablets then pushed her to the ground.
They ran off to the skate park area by the Apex Lake. The
victim sustained grazing to her face and knee."
Both
of the offenders are described as being white males, about 5ft
10ins tall, of medium build.
Both
were wearing dark coloured hooded jackets with the hoods up. One
of them had florescent strips on the rear of his trainers which
she noticed as he ran away.
Anyone
who has any information about the incident should call Bridgwater
CID on 0845 4567000.
