Burnham-On-Sea.com
short-listed for 2007 'Web Site of The Year' title
Burnham-On-Sea.com
has again been recognised as one of the region's top Web sites
by being short-listed for the 2007 'Web Site of The Year' title
in
the annual South West Media Awards.
The
awards recognise the very best of the West Country's newspapers,
Web sites, radio stations and journalists - and competition was
again tough this year.
A
panel of leading judges comprising newspaper editors and communications
bosses picked the cream of the crop from scores of entries - and
the shortlist was announced on Monday (April 30th).
In
the keenly-contested 'Web Site Of The Year' category, the entries
have been whittled down to three sites: Burnham-On-Sea.com, BBC
Bristol and the Exeter Express and Echo.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
was also short-listed last year and went on to win the overall
Website title. Website Manager Mark Newman said: "We're delighted.
To get onto a shortlist from a strong line-up of nominees across
the whole of the south west is once again very rewarding."
The
team behind Burnham-On-Sea.com will be going to a ceremony in
Bristol during June to find out who has won the overall award.
The
awards, sponsored by EDF Energy, cover Cornwall, Devon, Somerset,
Bristol, Bath, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Click here
