Severn
Barrage entrepreneur 'humbled' by positive feedback
Gareth
Woodham, the entrepreneur behind plans to build a Severn Barrage
between Brean, near Burnham-On-Sea, and Wales, says he has been
"truly humbled" by the response to his invitation for
expressions of interest from members of the public.
Hundreds
of people have visited his Severn
Lake website since Burnham-On-Sea.com featured his appeal
for interest earlier
this month.
"Offers
of financial assistance have come in thick and fast, ranging from
just £50 up to £30,000," Mr Woodham (pictured)
told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Wednesday.
"I
have been truly humbled by the amount of significant interest
in this project, which clearly shows there is a will from the
public to have the barrage built."
He
added: "We have not received one email against the scheme
- it's all been 100 per cent positive."
The
Severn Lake company now intends to publish a prospectus about
the scheme to give more information to financial backers.
