New
technology clinic launches at Burnham-On-Sea's BAY Centre
Burnham-On-Sea's
BAY Centre is launching a new technology clinic in which local
people will be able to broaden their computer experience.
The
sessions will be held on occasional Fridays at the centre's training
area from 11am to 1pm.
"Using
modern laptop computers - or your own - these sessions will broaden
your computer experience, and resolve some of the mysteries of
computer operations. All ages are welcome," said Mike Lang,
BAY Centre ICT Co-ordinator.
"We
anticipate covering email, simple Web design, elements of Microsoft
Office, and photo manipulation."
"Bring
in your preferred computer package, and we will use it to help
you navigate through your problem area. Advice will be given by
experienced computer users and, to that end, some experienced
voluntary helpers are also welcome."
"We
are patient, and should be able to assist at all levels. If we
dont know the answer we will find out for you - and will
even help you text on your mobile."
Sessions
can be steered on a self-help basis, and refreshments will be
included during each £2 session. For further details, contact
Mike Lang on 07889 815860.
