Blocked drains lead to temporary closure of Berrow School

Pupils at a school near Burnham-On-Sea were given a day off on Thursday (June 21st) while workmen dealt with blocked drains.

The school's toilet facilities were taken out of action on Wednesday, forcing the temporary closure of the school (pictured).

A school spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The drains have, unfortunately, become blocked, meaning that no-one can use the toilets. With over 300 children and staff here, we decided to close the school. We hope to be open again on Friday if the problem is resolved."
