A new charity shop was officially opened in Highbridge by the town’s Mayor on Friday morning (March 30th).

Eric Gill and Mayoress Gilli Kenyon-Gill did the honours for the Bawdrip-based British Institute for Brain Injured Children when its new shop opened in Church Street.

A ribbon across the door was cut by the dignitaries in a brief ceremony at 11am.

Organisers from BIBIC are appealing for volunteers who could help in the shop to step forward.

Those interested should contact Carol on 01934 626179 for more details or Liz on 01934 423973.
