Colourful fireworks display lights up skies above Brean Leisure Park

A colourful display of fireworks lit up the skies above Brean on Saturday evening (October 27th) when the resort's annual fireworks display took place.

A large crowd of spectators crowded into Brean Leisure Park to watch the impressive seven minute display.

The event is expected to have raised hundreds of pounds for Burnham and Highbridge St John Ambulance and Burnham-On-Sea Cadets, who were the two charities benefiting from this year's event.

Meanwhile, Burnham's annual seafront fireworks display will be held at 7pm on Sunday November 11th, the night before the town's carnival.

With a high tide at the time of the event, the fireworks will be fired into the sky from a special platform on the jetty and the lights will be reflected on the sea (as pictured here last year).
