Burnham
fundraiser invites you to 'think pink' during October!
A
Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser is inviting people in our area to find
'pinktastic' ways to support October's Breast Cancer Awareness
Month.
Somerset Breakthrough Breast Cancer Group's Christine Piper (pictured)
says every penny raised will be crucial, following the charity's
recent announcement that it is opening three new breast cancer
reserach units and needs at least £25million each year to
support its ongoing research, campaining and education work.
"To help raise funds, party animals are encouraged to hold
a Pink Party for friends with official Pink Party balloons, table
glitter and posters or if you would just like to do your own thing
that's great," said Christine.
"Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a great way to show your
support, spread awareness and raise funds to help eradicate the
disease, and with Breakthrough's three new research units about
to open, there is something very tangible for local people to
fundraise for," she added.
