Outgoing Burnham-On-Sea trade chairman praised by shopkeepers

John Edwards, the outgoing chairman of Burnham-On-Sea's Chamber of Trade, was praised for his 'sterling work' in promoting the town at the group's AGM this week.

Mr Edwards, pictured above left, was presented with a gift on behalf of the group by President Gerry Germain.

New Chairman Alex Turco said John would be a "tough act to follow" and that it had "been an absolute joy to work with him over the last two years."

Mr Edwards oversaw the launch of a shopping directory, the revamp of the town's Christmas lights, and pushed forward a shoppers feedback questionnaire.
