Exclusive: Burnham police hunt burglar after spate of three break-ins

Burnham-On-Sea police are hunting for a burglar who broke into three flats in the town within just a few minutes earlier this week.

Burnham-On-Sea.com learns the spate of early morning break-ins occurred at flats in Chichester Close (pictured), near to the town's Manor Gardens.

Officers were called to the scene just before 3am on Saturday (July 21st) after three concerned elderly residents reported the intruder had entered their homes.

"I can confirm that our investigations into a series of break-ins are ongoing," police spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"At the first flat, the offender got away with a small amount of cash, while in both the second and third flats, the offender seems to have been disturbed and nothing was taken."

He added that none of the residents were reported to have been injured. Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
