Burnham-On-Sea shoppers will able to park for free in the town at weekends during the run-up to Christmas as part of an initiative to help shops.
Sedgemoor District Council’s scheme will see charges waived at all council-run car park areas in Burnham, including those in Pier Street, Oxford Street, Marine Drive and in Berrow Road on Saturdays and Sundays from December 1st to 23rd.
Council car parking manager Chris Rossiter told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re keen to help local businesses by attracting Christmas shoppers into Burnham.”
Highbridge’s car parks are also included.
