Burnham and Highbridge’s annual Christmas lights contest begins

-

The annual Christmas competition to find Burnham and Highbridge’s best decorated homes has begun.

A group of judges from the town council will be touring both towns in the coming days to find the best illuminated houses and shop windows.

Town Clerk Eileen Shaw told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There will be a cup for the best decorated shop or business window, as well as prizes for the best festive illuminated private dwellings in Highbridge and Burnham, plus a runner-up in each town. A certificate will also be awarded for the best ‘group effort’.”

She added that there is no formal entry requirement, but if any resident wishes their home or business to be judged to contact the council on 788088.

This year’s judges will include Cllr Dennis Davey, Cllr Peter Clayton and Cllr Pat Burge.
