Police
investigate street brawl in Highbridge town centre
Police
are investigating a street brawl which occurred in the centre
of Highbridge this week.
The
incident occurred just before 9.30am on Tuesday morning when two
youths in their late teens were seen fighting in Church Street,
near the entrance to Foster Court.
According
to an eyewitness, the two exchanged blows for almost ten minutes
- much to the concern of passers-by, who contacted police.
Police
spokesman Elaine Parr told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I can confirm
that we were contacted about a disturbance in Church Street on
Tuesday morning."
"Both
of those concerned left the scene and although we further investigated
the incident, there were no complaints from either person, so
no further action has been taken."
