Burnham police given runaround as they try to moo-ve cow from A38

Cow Burnham-On-Sea police were given the runaround by a cow which caused traffic hold-ups in West Huntspill on Monday morning (December 24th).

Officers were called to the A38 near the White Cottage pub at 7.40am when several motorists reported a cow was on the road.

Police were unable to find the animal, but received a second call at 8am when a motorist reported almost colliding with the cow near the Cross Rifles pub.

Darren Bane, police spokesman, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "A search was conducted for a black and white cow after several calls from motorists, but nothing was found."
