Burnham-On-Sea fire crew tackles kitchen blaze in Highbridge

This was the scene in Highbridge on Thursday morning (August 30th) when Burnham firefighters were called to tackle a small blaze in a flat.

Smoke had been spotted coming out of a flat in General Higgins House, Southwell Crescent when residents raised the alarm.

The fire crew found that a saucepan left unattended on a cooker had been the cause of the incident.

The crew used a high pressure ventilation fan to remove fumes from the smoke-logged property, as pictured here.
