Crews
called to double fire alert at Burnham-On-Sea hospital

Fire
crews were called to Burnham-On-Sea hospital twice in the space
of an hour on Saturday evening (April 28th).
Three
engines rushed to the main hospital building in Love Lane after
a fire alarm was heard by anxious staff.
On
investigation, the teams found no sign of smoke or fire and the
alert was blamed on a false alarm.
Minutes
later, though, at 6.15pm, another alarm sounded in the adjacent
Peter Holmes Annexe next door to the hospital in Love Lane.
Two
engines were sent back to the scene - only for the incident to
be quickly scaled down when no sign of a fire was found.
