police probe 'suspicious' vehicle blaze at Mark
Burnham-On-Sea
police are investigating a suspicious fire in Mark which destroyed
a 4X4 vehicle on Sunday morning (September 30th).
The
town's fire brigade station rushed to Littlemoor Road at 10.51am
after a passer-by reported a vehicle smoldering on the road verge.
"On
arrival, the fire crew confirmed this to be a 4x4 vehicle fire
which was out on arrival. The fire had spread to a nearby fence
post which was extinguished using one hose reel jet," a fire
spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He
added that the vehicle was completely destroyed by fire and that
details had been passed to police as this was believed to be deliberate
ignition.
