Burnham-On-Sea fire crews tackle kitchen
blaze in Highbridge
Three
fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were sent to Highbridge
on Saturday morning (May 26th) after a kitchen blaze broke out
in a flat.
Neighbours
called '999' at 11.20am after hearing smoke alarms ringing at
the premises in Newtown
Road and seeing
smoke coming out of a kitchen.
Fire
crews were quickly on the scene,
as pictured right, and used breathing
apparatus to access the flat.
A
fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Two firefighters
wearing breathing apparatus gained entry to the property and searched
it to confirm that no persons were inside."
"The
crews confirmed that the smoke was caused by an unattended saucepan,
which was removed, and the property was then ventilated."
