Burnham-On-Sea
anglers reel in more bumper catches
The
busy start to Burnham-On-Sea's winter fishing season continued
this week with another record-breaking catch.
Young
Chris Georgiou reeled in an 11lb 9oz Bull Huss during the second
competition of the season for members of Burnham Boat Owners Sea
Angling Association.
The
fish, pictured here, was another club record - just a few
days after the previous record was set.
A
flotilla of fifteen boats took to the waters off Burnham for the
seven-hour event on Sunday (October 21st).
The
seniors competition was won by John Labbee (pictured right) with
a conger eel weighing 27lb 8oz, while second spot went to Bob
Tovey with a conger of 24lb 15oz.
John
was also third with a Bull Huss of 10lb 2oz. Nigel Devey was fourth
with a 20lb 8oz conger.
