Torrential rain leaves Burnham-On-Sea streets and pavements flooded

A deluge of torrential rain left parts of Burnham-On-Sea under several inches of water on Tuesday evening (June 19th).

The electric storm lasted only 30 minutes at 5.15pm, but left several streets in the centre of town under deep pools of water.

Pavements and roadways in Lynton Road and Ham Lane, pictured here, were badly affected although there was fortunately no serious flooding.
