A Burnham-On-Sea runner has raised more than £500 for charity by completing the Great North Run this week.

Jason Vickers, pictured, finished Sunday’s race in a time of two hours and 45 minutes.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I was really pleased with my time, particularly because the weather was warmer than I’d expected on Sunday.”

He added that all the money he raised will go towards a charity that helps people with MS. “Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me,” he said.
