Stars of TV’s Little Britain back Highbridge-based childrens charity

-

A Highbridge-based charity’s idea of writing to celebrities for support is paying off with the stars of TV’s Little Britain now lending their support.

Charity spokeswoman Margaret McDowell explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com this week: “We recently wrote to Matt Lucas and David Walliams of Little Britain fame.”

“Although they cannot support the charity because of their busy schedules, they have sent two autographed postcards. The cards depict Matt Lucas as ‘Vicky Pollard’ and Mr David Walliams as ‘Emily’.”

“The charity has decided to give the public the opportunity to bid for the postcards and the highest bid received by 30th March 2007 will become the proud owner of both cards.”

If you would like to place a bid, contact Margaret on 01278 764 753 or by email at margaret.mcdowell@nbcs.org.uk mentioning that you saw the story on Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The last few months have seen the National Blind Childrens Society receive support from many celebrities, including the Beckhams and the stars of Coronation Street – as we have previously reported.
