Fuel spill mopped up after crash at Burnham-On-Sea M5 junction

A Burnham-On-Sea fire crew rushed to the M5 motorway roundabout at Edithmead on Monday evening (November 26th) after an accident led to fuel spilling onto the road.

The accident involved a motorbike and a car, but there were not believed to have been any serious injuries.

"The fire crew made the vehicles safe and the Highways Agency was called to help with the fuel leak," fire spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Long queues of traffic developed back onto the northbound carriageway of the motorway.
