Police
search Burnham's Manor Gardens after reports of serious assault

Burnham-On-Sea
police were called to investigate reports of an alleged serious
assault in the town's Manor Gardens on Sunday (February 25th).
A
large section of the gardens, pictured above, was taped off by
officers as they conducted a search of the area.
But
after several hours of investigations, officers called off the
probe after concluding that the incident had been a false alarm.
Sgt
Julian Brandon told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "There were concerns
that a serious assault had taken place in Manor Gardens."
"A
full search of the bins, seating and gardens took place - and
while evidence of drinking was found - we concluded that this
had been a false alarm with good intent."
