Burnham's Ritz Social Club to give town's Medical Fund a boost

Burnham-On-Sea's Ritz Social Club is to hold a pop quiz and disco later this month to help raise funds for the Burnham Medical Equipment Fund.

The event will start at 8.30pm on Saturday October 13th and will be followed by music from popular local DJ Rusko.

"The quiz will include something for everyone, with questions about music from the 1950s to the present day," said organiser, Mike Barsby.

Tickets will be £2 per person and prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. A raffle and Irish bingo will also be held during the evening.

Teams of up to six are invited to register their team and book a table by contacting Mike on 07936 538 263 or by dropping in at the Ritz and leaving their details.

The Burnham Medical Equipment Fund is a 21 year-old group that has provided more than £200,000 of medical equipment to people throughout the Burnham-On-Sea area since it was set up in 1986.
