Work
to clean-up Burnham-On-Sea beach paddling pool is completed
Work
to remove tonnes of sand from inside Burnham-On-Sea's beach paddling
pool got underway on Sunday morning (July 29th).
Sedgemoor
District Council, which owns the structure, called in workmen
to empty the concrete pool after a series of high tides had filled
it up with silt.
On
Sunday, a JCB digger was brought in to move the sand to the seaward
side of the structure, where it is now helping to bolster the
foundations.
The
paddling pool is a often a popular spot with families during the
summer holiday season.
