One arrested after Burnham
police
close car park following accident

Police
partially closed a car
park in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea
on
Saturday evening (May 26th) as they investigated a 'suspicious
accident' in the town.
A
man was run over by another a vehicle in a corner of the Somerfield
supermarket car park at around 5pm.
The
man, who is believed to be in his 20s, suffered leg injuries and
was taken by ambulance to Weston General Hospital.
The
car park was partially closed opposite The Reed's Arms pub as
police started their investigation.
An
officer at the scene told Burnham-On-Sea.com that footage from
a nearby CCTV camera is to be examined to see whether the incident
was captured on film.
It
was later confirmed on Sunday (May 27th) that police had made
an arrest in connection with the incident and that no-one else
was being sought.
