Burnham-On-Sea fire crew called to Brean holiday park

-

A Burnham-On-Sea fire crew rushed to a Brean holiday park on Thursday morning (November 15th) after a nearby resident reported seeing “thick black smoke” towering over the site.

The crew was called to Pontins in South Road (pictured) at 11.45am.

Fire spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “On arrival, the crew found a large controlled bonfire was underway which was not posing any risk to the nearby area. This was a false alarm with good intent.”

Later, Burnham’s fire crew was called to an accident on the M5 motorway, close to junction 24 for Bridgwater to help wash down the roadway after an oil spill.
