Burnham-On-Sea
Regatta gets underway with busy day of events

After
months of planning, Burnham-On-Sea's Regatta organisers are looking
forward to a busy nine-days when the event starts on Saturday
(July 28th).
John
Clist and Terry Moul, pictured, were making final preparations
for the event on Friday evening when the Sailing Club, RNLI, BARB
and local water skiers attended a regatta promotion event on the
town's beach.
The
event officially gets underway on Saturday with an all-day French
Market on the South Esplanade.
At
4pm, there will be a fancy dress tender race starting at the jetty
and finishing in the River Brue.
This
will be followed at 5.30pm by a 'Caribbean Swashbucklers Beach
Party' and barbecue with a samba band at the Sailing Club.
For
full details of what's happening where and when, see Burnham's
official regatta website here.
